A portrait of my friend Marina. She's a photographer, but lately she's been getting into modeling as well.

Natural light | Canon 5D MKI | Canon 85mm f/1.8 set to f/4 | 1/500th sec | ISO 250

I would like to take more portraits, I need to find more friends. This is really nice. I love the expression, emotion, and tonal range.

You are usually a stickler on hair but can see why you weren't on this shot. Works well.

Haha, yeah in this case I felt it worked. To me there's a big difference between the windswept/ romantic out of place hair look and hair that looks like someone just rolled out of bed without any thought or care for what their hair looks like. I prefer the former. As well, if someone took the time to make their hair look nice, I think it's necessary to go take the extra step to make the hair look it's best in post if there are flyaways or strands that are too noticeably out of place.
