Mike's family restaurant is normally closed on Mondays.

Mike, an immigrant from Greece & his wife Bernice sometimes opens on a Monday, like today & all the proceeds are donated to charity. Four years ago they started a campaign to raise money for Cancer research, today it is to support our local hospital.




Here is a tally for the last four years proudly posted on the restaurant wall.




Last year Bernice became gravely ill & survived to sit again today in the restaurant aided with oxygen. Here she is with Mike.





The walls are covered with photos of folks who have been in attendance.




There are two strings of get well cards stretching across the room not shown in my shots.

The restaurant also sponsors the local hockey team.

They do not know us but we are a fan of such civic minded folk.

Their hard work will not go unnoticed...'Hope they wll have more customers to continue their efforts. I am very sorry for Bernice. Truly, as I hve heard it said before, saints lives with its people and is not very well known and that is how they wanted it to be. God-speed to both of them.
