I like the boats and water in #1, but the shore and trees in the background don't add anything. If you had positioned the camera a bit higher so the furthest boats were clear of the shoreline, you could have cropped the top. I think that even if you wanted to keep the shore in the frame, having the boats overlap it just slightly, as here, is not really what you want.
