Mileage tracking apps

Anyone using a mileage tracking app? Does it help earn money in compensation in business trip or tax return? There are so many, and I don't know which one to choose. I'm looking in Mile IQ. I may have to paid a monthly or yearly fee. Is it worth it?

I use an app called everlance.

Don't know if its the best, but it works for me.

Is every legal business required to be registered?

Pretty much.
Among other things registration at the local level involves the local agency making sure two businesses don't use the same name. Local taxes may be involved.
Registration at the state level is mostly about sales, use, unemployment, and income taxes.
Quite often registration is also about providing proof the business has liability insurance.

Hmmm... I don't know. It seems kind of hassle to jot down on a piece of papers. I commute to many different places in one day. I did use google sheets or excel to log in my mileages. I'm trying to think a faster and easier way without taking too much time and headache.

Problem I found is that most businesses want receipts for most business expenses. That is why just jotting down the milage is the simplest to me. If they want to check it with google maps they can and often do to make sure you are either honest, or not driving all over creation getting there to rack up miles.

Most business still deal in paper. Especially when it comes to expense reports.

I am old school. I just buy a mini daily planner every year. I'm got into the habit many, many, years ago. End of year it's just simple math. It really is second nature for me, so an app just wouldn't work for me. I don't have to pay any additional taxes as long as personal mileage doesn't exceed 30% of business and it never once has. I drive so much, the last thing I want to do on weekends is go anywhere far. Company cell phone has location tracker on it so they know where I am at always and I could care less. Nobody ever questions my activity and they shouldn't because some days I leave at 5:00am and don't get home till 8:00

Jeezzzzzz, what a waste of 90 dollars. It should at least be able to make you a decent cup of coffee as well.
