Thats really pretty. I love frost.

It was just -6 here. :D But I still dont really want to think about the windchill.

-27 lol.... screw that.

You can laugh at me come summer.. when I'm boiling in 105 degree temps for a month straight here in Dallas.

Ha! I know the feeling!

Ron,

It looks pretty cool, tho! Nice detail! I recall those cold days when I lived in Michigan, and that lake effect would come rolling off the lakes. Brrrr.

Nice detail and a great shot.

Regards,
Jake

Nice shot, Ron. I have a hard time wanting to take photos in the cold..

Thanks guys.

I used my new $24 (shipping in) Tokina 35-105/3.5 in close focus mode (1:4) @ f5.6.

So what to do on a cold day in the country?

Make pies. Two pounds of ground pork combined with a half pound of ground beef.

The ice photo is beautiful Ron!

It's photographs like this not take with a high-end DSLR and an f1.4 lens ... that makes me wonder about photographers that NEED the best equipment to take a good picture.

Well DXQ, I will say that I think many lenses of the past will challenge modern ones for image quality. I make no claim for this one, that is considered run-of-the-mill in appraisels I have found on the net, as I just got it & have not had a chance to give it a real work-out.

However, I do agree the best equipment does not necessarily produce the best outcome.
