This shot was taken during December, overlooking a farm gate just up the lane from where I live. The ruts caused by the tractors have caused interesting features in the scene. The light was late afternoon and happened to have my 1DS with me. The lens was a non "L" lens, 28-105. Shutter 80th and 5.6 @ 100ISO

Apart from the fact that the horizon is tilted, this one is really nice and the ruts DO make a REALLY interesting pattern. The evening light is really lovely, and the clouds in the sky add quite a lot to the photo. But that inclined horizon bugs me quite a bit, I must admit.

I really like the light and the general composition of this shot. I think the ruts work very well to take the viewer into the picture. However, for me, there are a few details that detract from the overall quality of this shot: the horizon is tilted, the processing on the sky is too obvious (halo around the trees) and the reflection of power lines in the water in the foreground is distracting.
