Just my opinion, but I think you pushed the contrast too far - the whites and blacks are off the scale. I mean that may have been what you were going for, but I think it detracts from the photos. Specifically:

1. The DOF on the rhino has his head in focus but his body is OOF, and yet the extreme contrast really begs for a nice crisp, sharp full subject. I think backing off on the contrast would make that less noticeable. Maybe.
2. The penguin is missing surface detail and texture because of the blown highlights. I think you can get the effect you're looking for without pushing everything past the limit.

Just my two cents.

I agree. The rhino is well framed. Some camera shake from a low shutter speed. You could intentionally underexpose to try to avoid that.
