Moon Halo.

When i had been walking around all Þingvellir national park area for about 3 hours, waiting for some aurora action but nothing happened,
it was time to head home again. Approaching my town i saw the skies were all clear and the moon had a nice halo.
So i drove to the old lighthouse once more and shot this one.

Thank you, What is lighting the rocks is the rotating beam on the other lighthouse behind and the lights on the outhouse (WC)

For those that don't know, the halo is caused by ice crystal way up in Earth's atmosphere.
It is often called a 'winter halo', and ice crystals in the atmosphere can also cause a halo and 'sun dogs' around the Sun.

Figured it had to be moisture, I was thinking fog, but hadn't thought about frozen clouds or fog. Thanks for sharing KmH.
