I'll take a guess at it. It looks like white balance is off or set to the wrong position for a night shot.. 30 seconds is too long for a moon shot. The moon is constantly moving. It orbits Earth, as Earth orbits the sun. The moon is moving at about 2200 miles per hour as it orbits Earth. It doesn't look like it's moving that fast because it's so far away but you can see this in your image because you have slight star trails.

50 mm lens
f/5.6
iso 200
exposure 30 sec

50mm is too short, and as told by Lightspeed, the moon is moving.
Anyway, you can shoot 1/250 because the moon is very bright. Don't be fooled by metering, because, as is, you are exposing for dark sky. Thus, the red colouring could be simply due to city lights, even if far (30 seconds are so long that also a minimum amount of light will be taken). Anyway, colouring is not important, unless you aim at capturing the red colour of the eclipse. You may always do white-balance, or simply go b/w.

(Canon 55-250IS at 250, 1/640, f/5.6, ISO400, I was experimenting with faster times, I shoot also at lower ISO, slower shutter).

thanks everyone
