Any tips or thoughts?

My thoughts are that it is underexposed (or darkened too much in post-processing), slightly out of focus, and likely the white balance is off. I suggest reading through my short guide on lunar photography which folks here have used with success. It will give you guidelines on exposure (aperture, shutter speed, ISO).

I agree with astrostu, but please don't give up. Sometimes we get a little discouraged when our 1st post doesn't do well. Welcome to TPF.

alright ill read that and try again, thank you. I thought the darker moon looked better than the whiter ones i took, but i guess i should be looking for more white when i shoot the moon
