Got some real nice ones there, haven't been to Toronto in a while, just waiting for warm weather to come so i can do a photo trip.

1. My Favorite, i love the mood it gives out. Almost like the walls are throwing up the city's garbage out, very nice composition.

3. Would be much better if the sky wasn't blown out and the bus was not blurry, other than that good comp.

5. Really good one as well, i like the feeling how it gets narrower. I just wish the windows where a little cleaner

6. I think the pole in front of the smart car really takes away from the composition. Other than that i really like it

Is #1 a real film scan? If so, what film and camera/lens?

Thanks Daver. You should check out the Toronto Photo Walks group if you come to TO for a visit. They go out every two weeks to a specific area to shoot. I've been out with them a few times now and it's been a great experience. I agree with your comment on #6.

I really dig #5 as well.

The rest don't grab me as much as your images usually do.

Yeah..I like #5. I just wish there more in the picture as a main subject. Maybe an interesting individual on a cell phone closer to the camera. There rest didnt do anything to me one bit. I also do not like your black and white conversions.

It would be really helpful if you explained what it is about the b/w conversions you're not digging. I'm no expert at it so anything you can suggest to improve on them would be helpful. I know there's a fine art to doing conversions right. I haven't taken the time to learn it, I admit.

this one has too much black. I cant tell the difference between the guy's leg and the bike frame. The trees are all black. The car has too much black.
