Really, really underexposed.

A mother and child bond is a beautiful thing.However, as mentioned it's under exposed and also think its to close and maybe back up a few feet.I think your so close in that it makes her head look really large.If anything,at least a good exposure will help in this shot and for future shots.Fill flash can help a lot as well.I don't do people shots my self but there is lots of good people photographers in her that can give you good tips
