Mourning Dove At Dusk ~ I captured this image of a mourning dove after it landed upon a gravel road to gather grit. I was struck by the soft iridescence in its cape plumage. My post image editing gave the image a watercolor-like quality.

I have to agree with @Photo Lady. One of the few birds in the bird kingdom with pastel colors that can show so much splendor in the right ligthing moment - and your image captured that splendor!
