Mrs C having Suet for Lunch

I really like the texture detail in the feathers.

Really a super shot! Tack sharp and you "caught her eye" nicely. Lee

Am I the only one that doesnt think this is tact sharp and shows super detail/texture?

To me it looks like a huge crop, and then a lot of post was put into it to save the image.

Your way off on the crop @ 10ft away with 500mm and only post was doge darken and some sharpening in areas that I thought needed it.The suet was darkened because it looked a little blown out. Everybody sees things differently but its sharp on all 5 computers in my the household. Is it my best or the best of course not but Other then a little noise and heavy foliage I don't see what your seeing.

I dunno, to me it lacks overal IQ; like it's been digitally zoomed. The details in the feathers look really exaggerated like they were over-sharpened. The eye area looks out of focus, almost blurred, and there's like two weird blur streaks across its chest.

it just doesnt look, to me, as good as some of your other shots. Like contrast it with the IQ/detail here: 500px / Goat by David Kammerer

Is it just that lens or something?

Now that you specially pointed out some things I do see what your saying now.Funny how I miss things in my own photos I might spot with someone else's photos. The goat was with the Tamron 18-270 VC. Thanks for the feedback.
