Thanks Sharon. I sat a long time to get the swans to face into the picture. They kept swimming around. A few seconds after this shot they were scattered. A combination of luck, persistence and patience. A lot of luck.

I totally understand that. We have a swan family on our town pond and I have taken many photos of them but they always move or turn their heads or the sun will peek out and blow the highlights! They are very difficult to get the whole family in good position and have good exposure. You must have a lot more patience than I do.
