Just a building that caught my eye.

I wish I had some type of critique for you. My real issue is that there is no subject to this, I understand the building caught your eye but as far as something visually appealing to the audience, Im having trouble finding it. To me its just a picture of a building, not a real interesting photograph.

Because of architecture. Some people are huge fans of architecture. The building is the subject. I think there is much better architecture, but I like this photo. Course, I have at least a mild appreciation for architecture.

Technically fine. Plumb, square, sharp... That sure is a BLUE sky

There is better architecture, but not much in Naples. What attracted me was the tower, the tall cedar and the two story window not to mention the many arches. The test was to capture the building at noon on a sunny day while retaining detail in the highlights and opening the shadows. I admit to bumping the green foliage and orange roof saturation but the sky is untouched. Of course this is a 10 exposure HDR image shot with a Canon T2i, ISO 200, Sigma 1-20mm @ 13mm, f/16, with times from 1/8 - 1/4000

I'm always interested in what architects can come up with. Ray's photograph may have had some perspective correction applied, (?) but the wild styling of the building is noteworthy. Not award-winning, by any means, but at least noteworthy.

Plenty of perspective correction applied in Photoshop FILTERS => LENS CORRECTIONS to get walls vertical.
