My favorite fishing spot

Interested as to why you would do f22 and 1/25 shutter instead of something like f9 and a faster shutter speed.

What fish are in the lake? Looks a very tranquil place to fish.

Whyso? I wanted to get everything as sharp as possible, so I used the f22.

Bass and bluegill mostly. A few catfish, but they are rarely caught.

f22 will not get you the sharpest picture. Most lenses have a "sweet spot", somewhere in the middle of their aperture range. You can find reviews on your particular lens that will illustrate this. For a shot like that, I would venture to guess that anything from f5.6 to about f13 would have been a better choice. You will still get enough depth of field, you're not pushing the lens at either extreme on aperture, and this would allow you to use a faster shutter speed. Unless you were on a tripod, or have VERY steady hands 1/25 shutter speed will generally reduce sharpness because it introduces blur via camera shake.

Nicely composed, tranquil picture. I would have cropped a little more of the sky, since they're no clouds to hold ones interest.
