My Favourite Shot

So far anyway.

I photographed this wild Mustang foal the day after it was born. She'd been keeping up with the herd and when they stopped to graze she lay down to sleep. I got this by belly crawling slowly closer to her while keeping an eye on the stallion who was keeping an eye on me. Luckily I was quiet enough that she stayed asleep.

For some reason when I view this in aperture the colours are much richer? It comes out quite dull when I upload it.

Nice image - thanks for sharing. Must have been a little unnerving having that stallion watching you. The change in colour "richness" may be the result of shrinking it for the web, assuming you did that; it could be a monitor calibration problem, or it could be a colour space situation. Since I don't use Aperture, I can't really comment about the colour spaces - my 0.02¢ FWIW.
