LACMA recently reopened (with visits by appointment) and my wife and I were eager to return to the exhibits. One, in particular, caught my attention : The Museum through the Camera.
When we got to see the show, it turned out to be a collection of photos, mostly of the museum's art on display, taken with a camera obscura. Blown highlights, low contrast, almost solarization effects - I thought I was back in a bad part of the sixties: my darkroom, man. I guess I was expecting a different kind of photo show.
This is really a color shot, no tricks. At least the guard wasn't wearing a white shirt.
