Get the SB-400. Does the job for me. It's way smaller and cheaper than SB-600, and if you need to shoot portrait, you can buy a cable to use it off camera.

The SB400 is fine and dandy for someone who only ever shoots in landscape mode. The SB400 only pivots vertically, which is fine for some shots, but for portraits. Not going to cut it.

Great, but I already ordered the SB600.
Do any of you know how to setup the D90 for it? The manual is a little to Japlish for me.
