I'm not sure if you were trying to blur out some of his face on purpose (as well as hands, etc.,). The angle of the picture just seems odd to me. Did you crop it down the middle of his right hand, or was that how it was shot?

I did soften his face a tad. Blur on his hand is due to the shallow depth of field. No cropping done.
