I live by the coast and rock collecting is a common hobby here, except it's actually illegal to remove rocks and drift wood from the beach.

Well, I never was interested in rock collection until I saw these interesting guys. I'll let you figure out what they are.

I would guess that they are old pieces of brick and mortor that have been tossed around by the tide and worn down to nearly round rocks, as happens with other rocks.
