I like the composition but they look as though they are massive crops? IQ ain't that great but sometimes you just have to take what you get.

Lovely birds. We have similar here in the UK. Red Breasted Mergansers which I think yours are the equivalent of and are usually found in the sea and Goosanders which a normally on fresh water but both can be found in both waters at times. Of the family of Sawbill Ducks.

I have some old pics of the Goosanders somewhere, I'll stick one up if I can find them.
