A couple photos from the other night. It's quite the thrill knowing the photons hitting the camera are thousands of years old.

Photons from the galaxy (#3) are millions of years old.
Which galaxy and which planetary nebula (#1)?
I think the nebula (#2) is the Trifid nebula (M20)?

It's been a while since I have had a telescope.

Amazing! Some id on these would be nice though.

The first one is M27, The Dumbell Nebula. It's about 1,400 light years away.

The second one is M16, The Eagle Nebula. It's about 7000 light years away. Hubble telescope captured a famous photo of the pillars of creation within this nebula.

The third one is M51, The Whirlpool Galaxy. It's about 23,000,000 light years away.
