Need advice on ND filter...

I would like to start playing with intentional camera movement and I was thinking of buying ND filter, but not sure which one to buy. I want to be able to slow my shutter speed way down during the day. While looking around I noticed there are different ND filters you can buy. I just don't know which one to purchase for what I'm trying to do. Thank you!!

A 3-stop would be a good start, unless you have the funds for a VND.

And ND filters, like all filters, get better the more money you spend on them. Avoid the el-super-cheapo ones on ebay.

I would avoid variables and get a 10 stop and 3 stop. Never needed anything else. I would only consider variable ND for video.
