Hi everybody,

I'm a VFX student and I'm doing photography for a school project and I need help selecting the best photos among the ones I have.

If you had to choose 10 photos, which one would you take ? The theme is multiple exposure

Thanks

What is the project?

And, yeah - you're going to have to number them if you want any real answers...

Some of them hurt my eyes to look at. Are they double exposures on film or did you do this in post?

all double exposure on film. I only use post process for color.

All critics are welcoming of course. I'm still a beginner

Truly, I'm not trying to be obnoxious... but isn't a big part of the learning experience supposed to involve you learning to independently distinguish your best work from your "b-sides"? Our input, if actually used, can only dissuade you from homing in on your personal style and make you second guess your ability to critique your own work.

Hum you're totally right. In fact, I intend to learn from professionnal's opinion so that I can improve my skills haha, like what's wrong, what can be improved. I don't intend to be a pro since I'm aiming for something else but it's nice to learn from your opinions and experience.

Since you want us to pick 10, and there are 14 photos - I will just say the top 4 that I would not bring.

3
7
9
10

4, 7, 9, 10 are the weakest to me. I wanted to say 14 too, not that it's a bad image but for some reason it doesn't flow with the rest to me. Well maybe not with the colored jellyfish. Don't forget order too when you show your work for class.

and yes you need to learn self editing skills but it helps to have other eyes sometimes IMO, I know especially with projects you've been staring at for so long. Obviously consider people's opinions but if you feel strongly about certain ones, keep them.
