I'm taking some real estate photos during the day and while doing interior pics, I can not for the life of me get a good picture due to the windows. I either have a dark room with the outdoors in good view or the windows are completely blown out and the room is in good view. I can't seem to find a balance to get both the room and the outdoors looking good. I've tried adjusting the iso, shutter speed and messing with the +2 to -2 thinkgy. Any advice would be great!

HDR
edit....or you can install some blinds. :D

Try using a flash or several flashes to light up the interior.

The range you are trying to capture is too wide, to you have two options

1) Take away light from the outside (Shoot at dusk or Dawn)
2) Add more light to the inside and get an excuse to buy some new lighting gear.

HDR is extra work you may not wish to do, as well as having a learning curve and requiring editing software you may or may not own or have access to. As already mentioned, if your schedule allows shoot around sun up/sun down, or expose for the windows and use some flash for the interior. Whenever shooting with back lighting, you need fill flash for your subject. If you're shooting in auto, your camera doesn't know this, but now you do. Good luck.
