I think 1 and 2 could use more contrast. 2 the sky is blown out, you should expose for the sky and use a fill light on your subject. 3 seems out of focus. Best thing I can say is learn how to post edit b&w. there is alot more to it then just hitting the button to change it to b&w.

This edit was done quickly. Mostly to show how contrast can really make a b&w pop. Since the photo was already in b&w there wasn't much else I could do but increase contrast, and levels in the sky.

like I said, it was done quickly just to show contrast. I didn't spend a ton of time fixing every little thing in it.

Is the subject the rocks?

I think that picture looks much better in color anyway. Unless your going for some kind of dramatic effect, kids look better in color.
