Nero - image resolution

I am trying to create a high quality slide show on Nero Express. Unfortunatly when the slide show is watched in full screen the image quality is terrible. Im not too bothered how many images it takes, its quality i'm after.

I have tried 30MB files and 600Kb files. They both appear on Nero at a very low resolution. Any ideas on how I can sort the problem out?

What are you planning on showing this slide show on? tv? comp? Find out what the screen resolution of the medium you are presenting on is, and resize the 30 mb file to that resolution using photo or paintshop (or some other kind of photo editing software)

It will be shown on a computer, quite possibly using a digital projector. The images look great on every onscreen programme except Nero (which is the only slideshow creator I have). I just can't understand why there isn't an option to alter the resolution, or if there is, why i'm having such difficulty finding it.
