This little bird made an appearance today. Never seen this one before. Was hyper active and wouldn't sit still even for a few seconds. Managed a couple of shots, before it took off and vanished. Please forgive the average shots.
Since we are an international community, thought of sharing more info on the bird. Hope that is OK.
About the bird -
Cinereous Tit - Parus cinereus
Size - 13 cm. Voice Call a loud, clear whistling whee...chi...chee...; Other whistling and harsh notes.
Range - Widespread in the Himalayas to about 3500m; Peninsular India.
Habitat - Open forests; Gardens; habitation.
Adult has grey back; black crown continuing along neck sides to broad black band from chin along centre of underbody; white cheeks, nape-patch, wing bar and outer feathers of black tail; ashy-white sides. Sexes alike. In pairs or small bands, often with other small birds; restless, clings upside down and indulges in acrobatic displays while hunting among leaves and branches; holds food fast between feet and pecks at it noisily; tame and confiding.
