New shaving related HAUL!

There was a local auction a few days ago, and this pretty nice shaving cabinet was up for sale. My mother won the auction for me ("good grades present", lol). Here are some shots of the cabinet and the two razors that was included. I haven't polished the razors yet, so they look bad. I'll post pics once I've polished them. If anyone recognise the models, please enlighten me.

So there you have it! Got it for 300 NOK (which equals about $52 or £33). Any idea what this is? I really like that cabinet. Once I get it cleaned up, I'm planning on storing some of my razors in it.

I can only imagine how many stories that shaving box holds, which faces those razors touched, what their lives were like, their history, families, what work they did, did they place music.....ok stop me before I continue!!!

Compaq.......we could make up all kinds of stories....I see a cowboys on a dusty trail pulling out the box, finally removing the day's dust from his pores...knowing he's off to share a drink, play a little game of cards at the back of the saloon, keeping an eye on the ladies.....omg the writer in me is pushing forth...!

Is Texas Ranger Morgan Kane (By Louis Masterson) known to you? Norwegian writer who wrote some 80 books about this fictive person. Great read, and well known throughout the world.

I am not familiar with Louis Masterson's work, no. However, when I was a child I had a grade 4 teacher who wanted to encourage my interest in writing. He'd find a reason to keep me after school ( which wasn't that difficult seeing as I was always in trouble for one reason or another)to help me further my skills. He would write a sentence on the top of a piece of lined paper and leave the room. My imagination would grow wings, off I sped into a story filled with characters taking this or that turn without stopping I would fill several sheets of paper.
I'd leave them behind and carry on my way home. I never did know what he did with them....it didn't matter really, the joy was in the process not the end results.
