- Can others edit my Photos
- Photos OK to edit
Hello,
I recently purchased a Nikon D5100 (as well both a kit and telephoto lens). In so far, I have taken great shots while trying to manage both aperture, shutter speed, and manual mode, however, I am still getting used to the program that I am using (Lightzone).
There have been two photos that I have been trying to edit for my father, however, I just cant seem to get them right. One involves two muskrats..a mother and a juvenile, taken at a distance, however, when I try to edit it. I am just not keen with the results. It could be that it is simply too far away, however, I am wondering if someone could give me a brief tutorial or perhaps even do a quick edit themselves to show me what the program is capable of doing (which I believe is a lot).
The other involves fireworks on the fourth of july that I took in aperture mode while downplaying the shutter speed. It involves the ocean (which as you can see..has that dreamy effect) and fireworks. I thought to myself that fireworks on the beach would be the perfect time to experiment and I am happy with most of my results with the exception of one photo..every time I try to edit it in lightzone, it just seems fake..that is , when I edit exposure, saturation, and color contrast. One again, would someone mind either briefing a tutorial or showing me an example on how these photos can be edited properly?
Any insight would be much obliged..I am new to this hobby but I am absolutely loving it, however, I am still having a difficult time with figuring out lightzone (despite tutorials and tutorials).
These photos will be for my father, so I want to make them perfect. Any information would be much obliged (PS I edit in RAW but I am attaching the JPEGs).
Also..any critiques are welcome!
Edit. I cannot insert the second photo for some reason if you are interested..please PM me and I can email it to you
