Where do you guys buy your lens and camera equipment from? Local Stores or via online?

My brother is returning from a trip there so i was going to ask him to bring back a wide angle lens for me but thought id get an opinion where to buy.

Im based in Hawaii but visiting Samoa at the moment and i usually order from B&H when im over in the States.

You would have alot more luck buying online probably, there camrea shops around, but not with desent gear - They would have to order it in probably. Unless you can find a big camera shop in like auckland perhaps?

I found a pretty big camera store in Auckland and the prices (even with the exchange rate) were a lot higher than American prices for items.

Yeah if anything is imported into NZ/Aus there seems to be an extra 20% mark up.

I guess im just going to have to wait until i get back to Hawaii.

Ebay is a good place to look. Just make sure you buy from a reputable seller. I just got a new 105 Micro Nikkor successfully from there a couple hundred dollars bellow retail. lol in my mind Ebay is awesome.
