Hi all, this is my first post and photos submitted to any site (lucky you lol). I've not received feedback as yet so would most appreicate some of your thoughts.

I'm saving up for a DSLR, so in the meantime I'm concentrating on composition with my Sony DSC-H3 and trusty iPhone4!.

I am a newbie but I do understand you would like some CC so as to know where to improve. It would be good to share your focus and what you wish to portray in this picture then maybe I can see if that is what I saw in the picture.

In the first picture I was portraying the Lloyd's building an imposing commercial (finance) structure, so much so that the Willis building (to the left) is curved which gives the impressions it's allowed it to take centre stage.

The second is a series of archways that I photographed at 45 degree angles to capture symetrical vertical lines of the walls and doors, but to emphasise the ciruclar tops.. B&W was used to accentuate the light and shadow.

Good news? Dug out my old Canon EOS 300 Camera that I used a few times about 10 years ago. Managed to find CR2 batteries (£14 for two!:er:)... I'l scan in some photos next time as I realise the iPhone4 and Bridge Camera aren't the best... one day a DSLR will be mine I'm sure! ;)
