Photos NOT OK to edit
our black lab rescue, Fenris, at night.
Processing and composition were totally an artistic choice on this one, and I feel I have really gotten "outside the box" as a photographic artist.
shot on my D200 and Nikkor AF 180mm f/2.8 @ f/4

C&C welcome.

PERFECT - JUST PERFECT

LOL

btw, it looks a little over-exposed.

You need to get a camera with greater dynamic range.

why? this old camera has been a solid performer for years, and delivered this shot exactly as I envisioned it as an artist.

Thanks for sharing your settings, this is JUST the look I have been looking for!

10/10 Thread, would read again!

thanks! someone usually asks for the camera settings, so i figured i would just put them in.
I cant take ALL the credit for this shot though. Fenris was a very patient doggie model.

Wait a minute... am I supposed to see something other than black? Or is this one of those times where something meaningless is posted and seemingly serious critique is given?

Reminds me of the photo I took of a polar bear in a blizzard.

WOW .I totally see what you were going for in this shot ,Just the right amount of negative space ! If it were mine ,,, I would give it a good amount of Vignette !

actually, I tinkered with the idea of vignetting while i was doing the post processing....but I just couldn't find an amount I really felt worked with this photo. in the end, i decided not to ruin a great photo with bad vignetting.

I think the eyes were a tad bit oversharpened, and the overall color balance feels a bit warm... Nice effort though... Lol
