These days with the dominace of digital cameras, results are instant. Film has always been and still is a waiting game to see the results.

You have the right idea, but the shot is over exposed and Id say to next time get some elevation for the light streaks from the cars and compose your shot to be where you are maybe looking up or down the street.

But keep them coming. Right on :)
 
Also, try a higher f/stop, like around 22. itll allow you to keep the shutter open longer without overexposing :)

I don't know if you've tried it, but if you set the camera to "B" like you did, with a small aperture (f/18, f/22, etc) in a pitch black environment, you can draw things too. Take a small light source and start writing as you would but backwards, and you can get some pretty neat things. It works out really well with B&W film :D
