Nighttime panorama of Chicago

If you're familiar with Chicago you have probably seen this view, it's taken from the planetarium. Had to walk for about an hour to get there (and an hour back) but I was pretty happy with the shots. Only thing is you can tell the stitching in the water, some things don't add up. Anyone know how to seem them together more nicely? Altough I can imagine different long exposures of water aren't the easiest thing to stitch together.

There are a few things you could try with lining up the lights in the water...

1. create a selection of just the water light from one of the orginal images and paste it in place.... use a layer mask to blend the edges in and to make it fit correctly.

2. you could just try and clone the light back in place using the stamp tool.

3. you could even try and liquify the light to 'bend' it back to an alligned position.

How many MP is your camera? It's so crisp and clear. You didn't edit it in Photoshop or anything did you? That's an amazing shot of Chicago.

Its not the megapixels that make it crisp and clear. Its the quality of the sensor.

thanks for the tips arch, will try that this afternoon.

yes i did edit this in photoshop. some more light & contrast, sharpening ... and pasting them together to begin with of course.
