Nikon 200-500 or Nikon 300mm f4 pf or sigma 300mm 2.8

When I started out with my Tamron, most of my shots were also blurry. It took me a good while to get used to it. After I fine tuned the lens I've never ooked back.

Always on a tripod, is vc always turned off?

Sometimes it is off but I am not noticing a difference either way. I'm not sure exactly how to fine tune the lens. I am not good technically. I am a little against sending my lens away for weeks since I have a trip up coming.

Vibration control, Image stabilised, optical stabilised, etc. Unless the lens has a detect ability, these should always be set to off when on a tripod, also make sure your focus limiter is set correctly and that if things are stationary set focus to single focus with focus release set so it will only shoot when focus obtained.

I'd bet you can get your existing lens to give you sharp shots, vc is a no no on a tripod
