Nikon SB80DX

Guy at a local store said for me to look into the SB-80DX for my first External Flash with my D40.

What are your thoughts?

great flash.. i use 2 50dx's and i love them

It was a great flash in 02, but it has some limitations.

Full manual, no i-TTL flash metering is the main thing.

If you need something with i-TTL, look into an SB-600.
