I am hoping this does NOT turn out like the classical Cannon VS Nikon VS Sony VS other


I am wondering about the differences and similarities between Nikon and Canon... not a Canon is better than Nikon b/c of X,Y,Z. But something more along the lines of... EG...Canon uses CMOS sensors, while Nikon uses CCD. OR the Image Stabilization system in Canon is called Vibration Reduction in Nikon, and the technologies behind them is employed by X,Y,Z. Note... these example are just made up... and may or maynot be true.

We cannot make comparisons about every single camera from each company ... models differ a lot.

I've noticed Nikon starts with a consonant.

Canon starts with a consonant.

Nikon has a vowel for a second letter, as does Canon.

The third letter in Nikon is a consonant... ironically the same is true for Canon.

The fourth letter is a vowel in Nikon and wouldn't you know it, the same is true of Canon.

Finally the last letter in Nikon is a consonant and guess, what? THE SAME IS TRUE FOR CANON!
