Northern lapwing+chicks

Saw these chicks of a northern lapwing at a local lake. These birds are are quite endangered here in Germany, so I hope the youngsters make it.

I guess that would be habitat loss. Lots of wetlands are drained for agriculture/homes/highways, and it's had a negative impact on their breeding places.

Nice set Same thing here with piping plovers they are endangered can't wait to get photos of the young piping plovers
