Not early enough in Venice

A few from Venice...

I woke at 4 to get sunrise shots, but the night porter at the hotel decided to sleep in the bar with the front door locked. I tried to wake him by saying "Scusate" didn't want to give him a prod as you just don't know how a sleeping person will respond and he was bigger than me! The following day I got up at 4 again and he was awake but it was wet outside...
