These look just ever-so-slightly fuzzy, almost like you were underwater or something. Maybe enable the software's automatic underwater look removal correction (AUTO- Unwatlooremacor)?

I will make sure I do that! Thanks! lol!

Looks like someone had a fun time in the sea!

Neat series of shots - the first is the strongest in my view, but looks like the three of you had a great time (I hope you got a release from that turtle!). Looking forward to seeing more from this new underwater world you're investigating (we've had a few do underwater photography here, but many have moved onto other pastures so its great to get someone active in this area active on the site again :))

Beautiful, man! Looks like it was a fun swim.

Thanks Overread! I think I have been bitten by the "bug"...lol! I am already planning on upgrading to a better camera / housing / strobe for the next trip! We did have an excellent time... did not want to come home! I agree, #1 is definitely the best of the bunch!

It was a blast... we ate lots of good food, got really sunburned, and spent a lot of time in the water! Thanks!

(you notice the new avatar, right? Not a bunny, but close!)

I suspect this means we might have to change you to a "fish junkie" ;)

Very nice man. I love to see when someone can improve on something they love by combining it with something else they love. Now all ya gotta do is get a underwater tripod so you can get some amazing underwater macro shots! I'm waiting... :)

Don't need a tripod... just need to do it. The camera I have has a decent macro mode, although I need to work on a better flash diffuser. Didn't see any Nudibranchs this trip like I was hoping, and unfortunately since I was diving with a group... I didn't get to "squat" anywhere very long for macro work. Give me time! lol!

About the closest I got to macro was some Christmas Trees.... about 3/4" diameter

I have to go with #6 (Turtle 4 photo) as the best of this set . There is enough light to show all of his/her colors(I even see some reds peeking through in the reef )
The Tortuga is swimming into the frame and towards you ,as well as I can plainly see the Eye .So for me It is the best .Oh and the Bg gives me a better feeling of depth.
I like all of them ! well ,except that the girl looks like a newb... Kneeling on the Reef/bottom, Arms flailing around, points to inexperience. or you could have just caught her at a bad moment . lol

The young lady is a relatively new diver.... this was like dive number 10 for her. She was my buddy for the dive, as my girlfriend was off with the instructor finishing up her OW cert! Thanks for the comments on the turtle. We ran into to him just as we were heading for the ascent line... so I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked. My buddy was getting down to minimum PSI.

Nice pics - thanks for sharing. Looks like you have found yourself a new area of interest and a very nice way to spend time on a holiday. I can't remember from your last post if you have told us where this great underwater photography gig took place - obviously some place tropical and oceanic.

We were in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Small, laid back island... not a wild party place like Cancun, and not as busy (diver wise) as Cozumel. Lots of great food, and very friendly people. Playa Norte beach is gorgeus... white sugar sand, with beautiful clear water that is barely chest deep 100 meters off the shore. My girlfriend was doing her Open Water referral, so I picked Isla because most of the diving is fairly shallow with great visibility. I love diving... and I love photography, so it is a good mix. But I can use a whole tank of air shooting one little macro subject (or used to do that back in my Nikonos days) so I have to be careful not to bore my dive buddies also! lol! Thanks! :)
