Official NBA Finals Thread

Who's your pick? My prediction is Spurs in 5, like many NBA experts/ fans.

Although I'll probably be rooting for the Cavs, I think San Antonio will have too much experience and teamwork for Cleveland to handle.

I tend to agree, especially if the Spurts start playing their usual dirty game. But... Don't rule out King James! I was oh, so happy to see that Detroit didn't make it, at least it will make the finals somewhat more interesting.

Yeah, I don't think anybody wanted to see another Pistons/Spurs Finals, LOL.

Lebron James is pretty good, but he still hasn't proved himself in the clutch. Although he had that great 2OT game against Detroit, he hasn't done too much in the playoffs.

If the Spurs get into Lebron's head this finals may be a blow out. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Although I don't like the Cavs chances, I didn't like our chances against Detroit from hearing what everyone was saying. But no that we won the Pistons were just overrated and the Cavs still have something to prove.

Being from Cleveland, I would have to say that the sports gods owe us this one after all the horrifying "almost" plays or "just that close" type things that have happened to us. From Michael Jordan's last second shot to the Indians in the world series and losing twice in 95 and 97.

But win or lose I am just happy that they made it there, I was lucky enough to be downtown after they won the other night and it was just one of the most amazing experiences. It was such a huge party atmosphere it was awesome.

Sorry, about my little rant there. Needless to say I"m hoping that Cavs can pull another one out.

definately think the spurs will win. rooting for them by default, since ive been their arena for an AHL Rampage game, but dont really care either way

Hmm, the Spurs took game 1.. No surprise.

The Cavaliers will need to work really hard if they want to win game two, which is also in San Antonio.

I think Cleveland will lose game two, but they'll probably fight out a victory when they get back to their home court.

Even if the Cavs do lose game 2, they will have 3 home games in a row and I'm hoping they can win all of these.

Isn't it funny, actually sad, that the Spurts will have 50% undeserved titles? Like the one taken during a shortened season and this one, where Mr. Horry-ble was playing anything but Basketball when he masterfully decked Nash? Don't you think that was the turn-around for the Spurts, that and the fact that Mr. Stern would like for the Spurts to win again?

I find it ironic that a team that has enough talent to be a contender uses those dirty tactics to get to the title.

And guess what, I haven't watched one single minute of the finals. Booooring...

and i like how people like to say the shortened season was an easy one....everyone played the exact same amount of games...is there a reason no one else won the title that year....yes....the spurs beat them..thats why..

Thats why the ratings are way way way down. No one cares about Cleveland/San Antonio... except well me but I'm from Cleveland.

Otherwise I don't even watch the NBA talk about yuck.
