Ogmore Castle, South Wales

I went for a short trip to a Norman Castle ruin not far from home - Ogmore Castle. My wife and I had quite a lot of our wedding photos done here in similar conditions, though that was in May 2003. I went with the view to return here on a clear night with some moonlight to get a star trail with the castle lit by moonlight.

I like the clouds, though! That is certainly a shot worth thinking about for the future, but these two look good. The clouds cast that gloomy feel that seems appropriate to castle ruins. I also think the B&W works best, for similar reasons.

I like the last one best of all. No modern walkway, just the ruins under that gloomy sky. Nice composition!

I like the B&W on the first one better and the color on the second. I can just see more detail in the 1st B&W.

I like both color and B&W, both give off different emotions.
