I cut off the top of his head - darnnit! But I think I got some good detail in his face? Or no? Is his nose out of focus? I can't tell. I'm still not seeing things the same as everyone else so any CC is helpful. BTW this is my father in law and he had been working on a car.

OPINION FOLLOWS
Once you take the picture you have to see how it needs to be edited, if any.

The histogram shows that there are few highlights and the color is on the low side.
Make a levels adjustment and sharpen and the one on the right is the result.

Yeh, I always get a little excited when I see The_Traveler has commented on my photos--always wonderful, clear advice! :goodvibe:

I love the edited version offered...imo this really is a brilliant photo! I don't actually mind at all that his head is clipped--to me it's filling the frame well.
