sitting by a little rock wall by the nature center where I have had good luck finding jumpers. After a while of not seeing any, I looked around for something else small to photograph. Near my knee was this little plant, and on it was this tiny light blue speck. It reminded me of the tiny flies with oversized wings. I was setup with the 1:1 sig and twin flash so I took a shot….too small to make out. I then switched to the MP-E65 and took several shots handheld at 5:1….Can you believe it? I spent the better part of ten minutes photographing lint! Both shots shots were greatly cropped. Who says there is no humor in photography. My mother would say "Son, these are the things that keep us humble"

I think I spent a good few hours glancing at this collection of dusty bits on and off as it lay behind my computer screen. It was only when it was climbing the wall in earnest that I realised that it wasn't the dim lighting, there really was something alive in there!
