This is what HDR is supposed to do. The sky isn't blown out (although it does look a bit painted in there) and the material under the barn is visible. There's wayyyy more dynamic range in the scene than could be captured, but it's all been tastefully compressed into a single image. You're using the entire dynamic range that's available in final, to show the details that you want to show and no more. You've let shadowed areas remain shadowed instead of eerily lit by nothing whatsoever.
