Old bearing Housings

The bearing housings of an old waterwheel in the remains of a gunpowder mill a stone's throw from Rosslyn Chapel. The only subject that suited the flat light, I've tried to bring out the contrast and enhance the quite striking colour and patina without increasing saturation (the stone near the top really is that colour!).

Below is a more literal version with less contrast and no Orton effect, below that is an original (resized with default first stage sharpening) raw file. Though the one I eventually used was exposed more to the right.
