Old Compaq Presario with dying internal battery

I've an old Compaq Presario and the internal battery appears to be reaching the end of its life. Would anyone here know with this machine's motherboard, if I open the case up will I find a standard-type battery I can replace, or will it be built-in to one of the components? At the moment, as long as the PC stays connected to the mains there isn't a problem but if the PC is unplugged for a few hours it can take up to twenty minutes or so to be able to switch it on, (a green LED on the rear of the PC pulses when the battery lacks sufficient power to power-up; it glows constantly without pulsing when it is charged).

A model # would be extremely helpful, is it a laptop, desktop, all in one? If it's a traditional desktop tower the motherboard will have what looks like a large watch type battery ( button cell ) Unplug your tower and pop that battery out of the motherboard, I like to use a wooden Popsicle stick. Take that battery with you to a favorite retailer and replace it with the exact same part #.

Thanks for the tip about the stick, yes it's a desktop, S4490UK. I was hoping it may be a watch type cell. I'll take a look tomorrow. Thanks!

If its a desktop, it will be a watch-type battery. Every desktop ive worked on in the last 20 years has been the same.

Be careful with the stick idea, some use a ZIF lever.

It's not a hard laptop to open. I had open mine a few times due to everything breaking on it...
